Pursuant to the Statute of the INSTITUTE FOR INNOVATIVE ARTS (hereinafter: the Institute), the Director of the Institute hereby announces a
PUBLIC COMPETITION
for the ZIRA Scholarships for students of the CMD Department of BASICSchool – School of Music and Performing Arts for the 2024/2025 school year
General Conditions for Applicants:
Must be citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Must reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Must be regular students in primary school in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Must not be recipients of scholarships from other sources;
Must not be repeating a school grade.
Scholarships are provided from the scholarship fund of ZIRA d.o.o. Sarajevo. The scholarships will be paid to the Institute in the amount of the awarded annual tuition fees.
Planned number of scholarships: 5.
Scholarships are allocated within the following groups:
First Group (for current CMD students of BASICSchool with outstanding academic success): Three students who completed the previous school year with the highest grade and received awards in music school competitions.
Second Group (for current CMD students of BASICSchool from low-income families): One student who completed the previous school year with a passing grade and comes from a low-income family.
Third Group (for current CMD students of BASICSchool who are children of single parents): One potential student.
Specific Conditions for the First Group of Scholarships:
Excellent academic performance at BASICSchool, specifically, students who completed the previous school year with the highest grade "Excellent" (A);
Awards and recognitions from national and international music school competitions.
Specific Conditions for the Second Group of Scholarships:
Passing academic performance at BASICSchool, specifically, students who completed the previous school year with grades "Excellent" (A), "Good" (B), or "Satisfactory" (C);
The student is a child from a low-income family.
Specific Conditions for the Third Group of Scholarships:
The student is a child of a single parent;
Preference will be given to students without both parents, cared for by specialized institutions.
Along with the completed online application form available on the BASICSchool eSystem, candidates must submit the following:
Proof of enrollment in a regular primary school for the 2024/2025 school year;
Proof of completion of the previous grade/level at BASICSchool;
Copies of diplomas from music school competitions during the 2023/2024 school year (for first-group scholarships);
A signed statement confirming the candidate does not receive scholarships from other sources;
Proof that the student is a child of a single parent (for third-group scholarships);
Proof of the household’s socio-economic status – a statement of monthly income (for second-group scholarships);
Proof that the student/scholar is cared for by an institution for orphaned children (for third-group scholarships).
Selection will be conducted by a committee through a scoring process in accordance with the Rulebook on Scholarship Award Conditions, Criteria, and Procedures. Candidates will be notified in writing.
In cases where multiple candidates from the same household apply, the scholarship will be awarded to only one candidate. If there are no applicants for any of the three defined groups, the planned scholarships for that group will be reallocated to one of the remaining groups.
Applications, along with the required documents, must be submitted exclusively via the school’s eSystem.
The competition will remain open until January 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Selected candidates will be announced in February 2025.
