On Friday, November 18, at a formal ceremony held at the Courtyard by Marriott Sarajevo Hotel, scholarships were awarded to seven students from the Basics school who are enrolled in the instrumental departments. The scholarships were presented by ZIRA, a leading domestic IT company, which has been sponsoring the most talented students from our school, as well as those from lower-income backgrounds, for the third consecutive year. The scholarships cover the full annual tuition costs. They are awarded in memory of Zijah Rašidagić, the founder and first director of ZIRA. His vision, which ZIRA continues to uphold today, was to enable as many young people as possible to remain in Bosnia and Herzegovina by building a successful, strong, and stable company that provides opportunities for work and professional development on a global scale.
After the public competition was announced, which was available on our bulletin board and digital platforms, and after reviewing all received applications, scoring them by the committee, selecting, and verifying the validity of the required documentation, our school’s committee has selected the following students for this year's scholarships, i.e., the 2022/2023 school year scholarship recipients:

Thank you to ZIRA for recognizing the quality of our educational system and providing our students with free education. Most of our students who were ZIRA scholars in the previous two school years have won top prizes in music school competitions in the country and the region. We believe that our students will continue to justify the trust placed in them this year, as they have in previous years.
