BASICSchool – School of Music and Performing Arts was founded on the foundations laid over eleven years by the Music Education System BASICS, established in 2013 in East Sarajevo (Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina).

 

As an innovative educational system in Southeastern Europe, it was a pioneer in modern music and performing arts education, encouraging individuality, creativity, and artistic expression in children through unique educational programs and music and stage projects.

However, as time passed and artificial intelligence began to shape the world, we recognized that children’s interests and needs were changing. The traditional approach to learning no longer met their needs or satisfied their curiosity in the modern era.

We understood this shift and, following the mission and vision of our founder – Đorđe Jovančić, decided to revamp our educational system and create one tailored to the needs of tomorrow’s children. Thus, in 2024, BASICSchool – School of Music and Performing Arts was born. This school is not just a place for learning but a laboratory for nurturing the children who will change the world.

BASICSchool is built on an innovative, holistic approach to education, integrating the ethical use of artificial intelligence into all aspects of the syllabi. Our focus is on empowering children to learn independently in a way that excites and engages them, with the support of mentors who guide and inspire them along their journey.

The programs at BASICSchool are deeply rooted in both the arts and sciences, creating a balanced and comprehensive learning environment. At BASICSchool, we are dedicated to shaping the next generation of creators and leaders – children who are not only ready for the future but are actively shaping it.
